Bright airy two bedroom home overlooking San Miguel de Allende in light perfect for artists. There are lovely 360 degree views from large tiled second floor terrace and third floor view point. The large second floor tiled terrace is great to relax or entertain with views of Downtown SMA, including the Parroquia. The third floor has stunning views of the Parroquia and the Lake at San Miguel, as well as countryside. All 1 mile from the Jardin or center of town, so either a 25 minute hike, 10 min. bus public transportation ride (4 pesos), or a $25 peso cab ride will get you to the Jardin. Close to town, privacy, quiet and great views.
The home is NEW, with gas log heating, heaters in the bathrooms, ceiling fans, two bedrooms (one upstairs with a bodeva ceiling and one downstairs with a glass door entry into the little garden). There is a small office area with high speed internet, kitchen with purified water system, lovely carved dining table and lots of light! Cable TV with US channels is provided. There is an enclosed parking area.
The food and artists markets are close, as well as tortilla shops, bakeries, health club, and SHOPPING! Ten minutes by car or taxi will get you to Tabojada Hot Springs.
All new furniture, appliances, washer & dryer! There is a lovely Master Bedroom with custom stained glass window and bodeva ceiling.
The Casita is in a family neighborhood, with a park-green area behind the house. The views from both terrace and patio are super! A very comfortable home for a couple or family; or two couples or a single person!

What a great vacation! Casita de los Colibries was just what our dream Mexican home would be. We visited with our two children, 5 & 9 years old, they loved the "fun" house, park, neighborhood, classes and even rode the public bus! My husband and I enjoyed the lovely bedroom and had cocktails and wine on the third floor patio. The third floor patio is beautiful with nice chairs and table and views of town and hummingbirds at the feeders.
The maid, Beatrice, and her husband,the gardener were very nice. The cook, Irma, was FANTASTIC and cooked enough for several meals for us.
San Miguel de Allende is a wonderful place to vacation. I took and art class, the children took Spanish classes and a circus class at Aurora. There are great restaurants and always something going on at the Plaza. It was easy to get to the Plaza and quieter than being in the middle of the town.
We certainly will be back to San Miguel and will stay at the Hummingbird House.
