This very cozy, rustic log cabin is on the scenic Peshtigo River. The original cabin is nearly 100 years old. Enjoy a fire in the fieldstone fireplace while you relax on the leather sofa surrounded by the rustic interior decorated with antiques, moose and a sprinkling of frogs.
The addition to the original cabin was made to blend in with the cabin look. This has the dining room, kitchen and full bathroom. The dining room has large windows overlooking the Peshtigo River and the wooded island on the other side of the river. The moose decor is extended to this part of the cabin.
Enjoy sitting out on the deck (new deck built this spring, 2007). Hear the frogs and crickets at night or the birds chirping in the morning. You may see ducks, geese, deer, squirrels, chipmunks ad possibly a beaver. Enjoy a barbeque on the gas or charcoal grill. Walk down to the river and take a dip in the calm waters of the Peshtigo River. Go for a scenic canoe ride or paddle boat. Try your luck fishing in our aluminum boat or from the shore.
The house is on a secluded wooded lot in a serene location, but is very close to town. All you need is to bring food and your fishing poles and gear!
This is a great weekend retreat or an extended week with the family!
Truly a unique opportunity to enjoy Northern Wisconsin at its best!

We stayed with our two Chocolate Labs last summer for a long weekend and are going again this year. It is so beautiful and relaxing. When you sink into the leather sofa, loveseat or chair you know you are on vacation. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Owners are very nice and will take good care of you. |
